Определенный артикль с географическими названиями Цель: ознакомление с употреблением определенного артикля с географическими названиями.
Задачи:
1) познакомить учащихся употреблением определенного артикля с названиями континентов, стран, городов, океанов, рек, озер.
2) развивать навыки употребления определенного артикля в серии языковых и речевых упражнений.
3) создать условия для формирования коммуникативной компетенции.
Ход урока:
- Организационный момент
Good morning!
I’m glad to see you. I hope you’re all right.
You know our planet is very big. Look at the map. How colourful and different it is! There are a lot of continents, countries, cities and towns, oceans and seas, rivers and lakes.
Today we’re going to learn how to name these continents, countries, cities and towns, oceans and seas, rivers and lakes correctly.
Our grammar discovery for today is “THE” with the geographical names.
2 Введение нового материала.
1) First of all you should divide into groups of three.
Look at the blackboard (SMART BOARD). You see a table and a list of geographical names. (Слайд 1)
( Учащимся раздаются листки для дальнейшего заполнения).
You must fill it/ Think a little and you may go the blackboard (SMART BOARD) to move the words. ( Слайд 1).

2) Учитель обращает внимание учащихся на использование определенного артикля с географическими названиями.
You must remember that the definite article is used with the names of continents, countries, cities and towns, oceans and seas, rivers and lakes, the names of kingdoms, republics, federations, states, the names in plural.
3) I have cards with these words. Repeat them after me. (Идет фонетическая отработка).
4) Let us relax and find these places on the map. One of you asks where this place is and the other student answers and shows it on the map.
For ex. ,
A: Sasha where is the Atlantic Ocean?
B: It is between America and Africa and Europe.

1) I see that all of you are good at geography. I have one more table for you. This table is not completed. I’ll give you 5 minutes to do it.

Imagine that you see each other for the first time. se the plan for your dialogue. (Слайд 4).
Introduce yourself.
Ask your friend where he/she is from.
Wonder where this country is situated.
Ask about the capital of the country.
Wonder what language is used here.
